VALENTINO'S ANGORA BAN
After halting production and sale of furs and Alpaca fleece, Maison Valentino announces the end of the use of angora: a decision that will kick off from Autumn/Winter 2022 collection and comes as a result of a constant open dialogue with PETA, the animal rights association which has seen in the Maison an interlocutor eager to listen and evolve. A consequence of a shift originally occurred within the company and its business model which involves continuous exploration for materials deriving from alternative processes and sources, showing the company’s commitment towards expanding the horizons of creativity, while meeting the demand for ethical products.
This decision represents a fundamental step on the Maison's path of re- signification, which also involves exploring and broadening the power of con nections with its interlocutors, while preserving brand heritage.
