SUSTAINABILITY, AN ARTISANAL VALUE

On September 25,2022 the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022 took place at the iconic Teatro alla Scala in Milan celebrating creatives‘ outstanding contributions and efforts to design a fashion industry that is better for people and for the environment. For this year's Awards, Camera Nazionale della Moda collaborated with the Ethical Fashion Initiative and Ellen MacArthur Foundation alongside Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Prada - the founding members of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion’s Sustainability Committee - to bring circular design for fashion to the very top of the Italian fashion industry’s creative agenda.

Maison Valentino showcased a Valentino Pink PP mini fashion show representing Made in Italy, Italian craftmanship and a committed vision of extending the life of its designs through unique savoir-faire and technology. For the occasion, Maison Valentino’s CEO Jacopo Venturini and Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli welcomed the host of the event, activist and actress Rossy De Palma, dressed in the brand’s signature red with a dress from the 2023 Resort, embellished with red roses from Atelier Valentino’s reused fabrics, and Jon Kortajarena with a pre-fall 2022 look.

During the evening, Creative Director PierPaolo Piccioli awarded Dr. Rubana Huq Deputy Chairman of the Asian University for Women and President of Mohammadi Group with “The Human Rights Award”, for her commitment in supporting human and women’s rights.
