INCLUSIVITY & EQUITY
Inclusivity and Equity are at the core of Valentino's values, fostering respect, fairness, and diversity as key drivers of innovation and success. In 2023, the company introduced an Inclusivity & Equity (I&E) Policy, approved by the Board of Directors, which outlines shared values, responsibilities, and compliance principles. To embed these values across the organization, Valentino has implemented a top-down approach supported by training programs on unconscious bias, cultural competence, and inclusive leadership. Additionally, Valentino established an Inclusivity & Equity Committee, composed of key department heads, tasked with cultivating a culture of diversity and empowerment.
As part of this commitment, Maison Valentino obtained the Gender Equality Certification (UNI/PdR 125:2022) in December 2023. This distinguished Italian acknowledgment, part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), seeks to promote a responsible approach, encouraging and incentivizing companies to implement appropriate policies aimed at reducing the gender gap and supporting the professional advancement of women.
This significant achievement underscores the Maison's commitment to inclusivity within the company structure.
The audit was carried out by Bureau Veritas, a world leader in inspection and certification services, which analyzed all the Italian legal entities of the Maison and evaluated a series of qualitative and quantitative indicators organized into six distinct macro-areas, providing a comprehensive and detailed 360° perspective on key gender equality topics: culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, opportunities for women’s growth and inclusion in the company, gender-based pay equity, parental support, and work-life balance.
Valentino has achieved a significant outcome in the field of pay equity, adhering to the UNI/PdR 125:2022 guidelines and effectively reducing the gender pay gap to below 10%. Reaffirming its commitment to maintaining these standards to promote internal equity, the Maison advocates for ongoing improvements aimed at further reducing the gap in the next three years.
