ON THE WOMEN'S SIDE
Fostering cultural exchange, generating authentic conversations through artistic expression and supporting the next generation with a philanthropic approach; a special collaboration with Thai artist, Pinaree Sanpitak underscores the core values of the Maison, expressed at Singapore Art Week 2023. Sanpitak is one of the most prominent artists in the South East Asian contemporary scene, her work celebrates the power of the female body; a vessel of emotions and experiences. Among her leitmotifs, the female breast, whose shape also resembles the sepulchral monument- the Stupa. In this collaboration, the Breast Stupas are reimagined and produced with the iconic Valentino Toile Iconographe fabric and exhibited at The Warehouse Hotel from January 10th to 25th, 2023. Following the installation, proceeds from the sale of the sculptures will be donated by the Maison to United Women Singapore, a local non-profit organisation that promotes gender equality through education and awareness of women’s rights.
