WINDOWS: A SNEAK PEEK
A NIGHT IN PARIS
Valentino Rendez-Vous is a collection created to carry fashion from the atelier to the streets. On top of the Spring/Summer 2022 ready-to-wear show held at Le Carreau du Temple, the Maison paid homage to an idea of fashion that permeates the city with its liberating power by personalising four Parisian boutiques in the 3rd arrondissement between the 1st and 5th of October 2021. An exclusive concept store has been installed in Elevastor, where the (V) Vaccinated hoody and bestseller heritage books will be available. Rombaut presented the preview of the Valentino Garavani Open for a Change sneakers, while 2 Rue Dupetit-Thouars made it possible to stream exclusive playlists selected by the 'Are We On Air' podcast. Finally, at the salon in “Messieurs-Dames” visitors have been able to discover the Valentino Beauty Collection, in license with L’Oréal. It has been a process of creative insemination where every store has maintained its identity, absorbing the attitude towards change and re-signification at the heart of Valentino’s ethics.
The exciting sensation of going back to normal life and physical contact after months of distance, the desire to enjoy other people’s company, celebrating it as it deserves: these are the concepts that inspired The Valentino Party Collection, translated into the windows of the Montenapoleone’s Boutique with a special display. In November 2021, Maison Valentino celebrated the start of the holiday season with a set-up that looked straight into the 70’s and drew upon its silver tones, a recurrent theme of the collection, transforming the store into a reconstruction of the iconic Studio 54 between pillows and acrylic panels. A project with an attentive eye to sustainability, considering that the majority of the elements employed are made of 100% recycled and recyclable materials. Bringing a renewed joie de vivre in every corner of the world, together.
A global tour to reinforce the brand's sponsorship of culture and the vital freedom of artistic expression. An ode to the theatre- on the trails of the Valentino Act Collection presented in March 2021 produced at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler- started in Milan during Design Week in September 2021: Maison Valentino payed homage to the sanctuary of acting through an installation in the windows and interiors of its Montenapoleone Boutique. The spaces were rethought to project the viewer in a 40’s theatre, between red velvet seats and scenographic drapes. A led wall recalled the atmosphere of the catwalk, together with images from the advertising campaign starring Zendaya covering the iconic newsstand in Via dei Giardini. The project embraced a sustainable approach through the concept of reuse of display props which will travel around the world to brighten the international store windows of the Maison, while reminding audiences across the earth of the brand’s closeness to cultural institutions and support for their reopening.
