Clement Lomellini x Paris Saint Honoré

Across the channel, Clement Lomellini brings Unboxing to Paris. Bright shades create a dynamic display, while the Valentino Toile Iconographe pattern draws attention to the naturally repeating. Black gowns with selective cut-outs and see-through fabrics force an awareness of the body as made up of disparate yet continuous elements. The mannequins appear through a torn paper backdrop, staging the drama of a physical unboxing, the act of tearing the paper from the object you just can’t wait any longer to open.

Born and raised in the city of Montpellier, in the south of France, Clement Lomellini moved to Paris in 2010 to study art and fashion. After his graduation in 2012 Clement worked as an intern for Maison Margiela, CR Fashion Book or Elle Magazine. He started his career as a stylist assistant for Numero Magazine and worked with famous photographers as Peter Lindbergh, Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Karl Lagerfeld.

In 2017, he met model and singer Carla Bruni who has became his first client as a celebrity stylist. During the Cannes Film Festival 2019, he started dressing other celebrities as the supermodel Eva Herzigova and French actresses Virginie Ledoyen, Louise Bourgoin or Ana Girardot. Since then Clement continued to expand his client’s circle while collaborating with famous models, actresses and singers such as Naomi Campbell, Emily Ratajkowski, Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Noémie Merlant, Camille Razat.

“My idea was to encapsulate the collection by really thinking about the act of unboxing, this desire to tear off the wrapping paper from a highly coveted object. It’s about that urgency and excitement of uncovering an item you’ve been dreaming about.”
